Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
  • 4 cups cold water, divided
  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice (about 1 lime)
  • 2-3 tbsp honey or sugar (to taste)
  • Ice cubes, for serving
  • Fresh mint or lime slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Blend the strawberries: In a blender, combine the chopped strawberries with 2 cups of cold water. Blend until smooth.
  2. Strain the mixture: Pour the strawberry puree through a fine-mesh strainer into a large pitcher to remove the seeds and pulp. Use a spoon to help push the liquid through the strainer.
  3. Mix the agua fresca: Add the remaining 2 cups of water, fresh lime juice, and honey or sugar to the pitcher. Stir well until the sweetener is fully dissolved. Taste and adjust sweetness or lime juice to your liking.
  4. Chill and serve: Refrigerate the agua fresca for at least 30 minutes to chill, or serve immediately over ice. Garnish with fresh mint or lime slices if desired.

Strawberry Agua Fresca is a simple, refreshing drink that’s perfect for any occasion, offering a burst of fruity flavor with each sip!
