VanVoorst Ham Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked ham, diced
  • 2 cups uncooked egg noodles
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, milk, 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese, onion, green bell pepper, black pepper, garlic powder, and dried parsley. Mix until well combined.
  4. Add the cooked ham and noodles to the mixture, stirring until everything is evenly coated.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  6. In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with the melted butter. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese over the casserole, followed by the breadcrumb mixture.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
