Turkey Club Sandwich

Turkey Club Sandwich is a classic, hearty sandwich that’s perfect for lunch or a light dinner. Layers of juicy turkey, crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, ripe tomatoes, and creamy mayo are stacked between slices of toasted bread, creating a satisfying balance of flavors and textures. This triple-decker sandwich is easy to assemble, making it a quick and delicious option for any meal. Ingredients:

  • 3 slices of sandwich bread (white, whole wheat, or sourdough)
  • 4-6 slices of roasted turkey breast
  • 3 slices of cooked bacon
  • 2 leaves of lettuce (romaine or iceberg)
  • 2 slices of ripe tomato
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Toothpicks for securing the sandwich (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Toast the bread slices until golden brown. Spread a layer of mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread. If using mustard, spread it on one of the slices as well.
  2. On the first slice of bread, layer half of the turkey, followed by a slice of lettuce and tomato. Season the tomato lightly with salt and pepper.
  3. Place the second slice of bread on top and layer with the remaining turkey, bacon, lettuce, and tomato. Season with more salt and pepper if desired.
  4. Top the sandwich with the third slice of toasted bread.
  5. Insert toothpicks into each corner of the sandwich to hold it together. Slice the sandwich diagonally into halves or quarters.
