Ingredients:

For the Brownies:

  • 1 box of brownie mix (plus ingredients needed to prepare)

For the Toffee Pudding:

  • 1 (3.4-ounce) box instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1/2 cup toffee sauce or caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup toffee bits (such as Heath or Skor)

For the Whipped Cream:

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For Assembly:

  • 1/2 cup toffee bits (for topping)
  • Optional: chocolate shavings or additional caramel sauce for drizzling

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Brownies: Preheat your oven and prepare the brownie mix according to the package instructions. Once baked, allow the brownies to cool completely. Cut them into small, bite-sized squares.
  2. Make the Toffee Pudding: In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant pudding mix and cold milk until it begins to thicken, about 2 minutes. Stir in the toffee or caramel sauce and toffee bits. Set aside.
  3. Whip the Cream: In a large mixing bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together until stiff peaks form. Be careful not to overbeat.
  4. Assemble the Trifle: In a trifle dish or large glass bowl, layer half of the brownie squares at the bottom. Top with half of the toffee pudding, followed by half of the whipped cream. Repeat the layers with the remaining brownies, toffee pudding, and whipped cream.
  5. Garnish and Chill: Sprinkle the top layer with additional toffee bits. If desired, add chocolate shavings or drizzle with extra caramel sauce. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Serve your Toffee Brownie Trifle chilled and enjoy the layers of chocolatey, creamy, and toffee goodness!
