The steak is marinated to enhance its flavor, while the vegetables add a fresh and crunchy contrast. Served over steamed rice or noodles, this stir-fry is not only nutritious but also bursting with flavors that will make it a family favorite.

Ingredients:

For the Steak Marinade:

  • 1 pound steak (such as flank, sirloin, or ribeye), thinly sliced against the grain
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger

For the Stir-Fry:

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 medium carrot, julienned
  • 1 small zucchini, sliced into half-moons
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon water or beef broth
  • Optional: sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the Steak: In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, cornstarch, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Add the thinly sliced steak to the marinade, tossing to coat evenly. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 1 hour for more flavor.
  2. Cook the Steak: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated steak in a single layer, cooking for about 2-3 minutes per side, until browned and just cooked through. Remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside.
  3. Stir-Fry the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the onion and garlic, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the bell peppers, carrot, zucchini, and broccoli, and stir-fry for 4-5 minutes, until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  4. Combine and Sauce: Return the cooked steak to the skillet with the vegetables. Add the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and water or beef broth. Stir everything together and cook for another 2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the sauce to slightly thicken.
  5. Serve: Serve the stir-fried steak and veggies hot over steamed rice or noodles. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions if desired.

Enjoy this Stir-Fried Steak and Veggies as a quick, flavorful, and healthy meal that’s perfect for any night of the week!
