Serve it over rice or noodles for a complete, mouth-watering dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks (or canned, drained)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

For the Stir-Fry Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons pineapple juice (from the fresh or canned pineapple)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, toss the sliced beef with cornstarch and soy sauce. Let it marinate for 10-15 minutes while you prepare the vegetables and sauce.
  2. Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, pineapple juice, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using). Set aside.
  3. Sear the Beef: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the beef in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until browned but not fully cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Stir-Fry the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and bell peppers. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they are just tender but still crisp. Add the minced garlic and ginger, and cook for another minute.
  5. Add Pineapple and Beef: Stir in the pineapple chunks and return the beef to the skillet. Pour the prepared stir-fry sauce over the mixture and stir everything together. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the beef is fully cooked and the sauce has thickened slightly.
  6. Serve: Remove from heat and serve the Pineapple Beef Stir Fry over steamed rice or noodles. Garnish with sesame seeds or fresh green onions, if desired.

Enjoy your flavorful Pineapple Beef Stir Fry, a perfect blend of savory, sweet, and tangy in every bite!
