Peaches And Cream French Toast

Ingredients:

For the French Toast:

  • 1 loaf of brioche or challah bread, sliced thickly

For the Cream Cheese Glaze:

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tbsp milk (adjust for desired consistency)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Custard:
    In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside.
  2. Cook the Peaches:
    In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add peach slices, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Cook for 5–7 minutes until peaches are soft and slightly caramelized. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Soak and Cook the French Toast:
    Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or non-stick spray. Dip each slice of bread into the custard mixture, allowing it to soak for about 10 seconds on each side. Place slices on the skillet and cook for 3–4 minutes per side or until golden brown.
  4. Make the Cream Cheese Glaze:
    In a small bowl, beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
  5. Assemble and Serve:
