Mediterranean Meatballs

  • 1 tbsp fresh mint, chopped (optional)

  • 1/2 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the meatball mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef or lamb, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, egg, parsley, mint (if using), cumin, paprika, cinnamon, coriander, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together thoroughly until well combined.
  2. Form the meatballs: Using your hands, shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 to 1 1/2 inches in diameter. You should get around 16-20 meatballs.
  3. Cook the meatballs: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the meatballs in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook the meatballs for about 7-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are browned on all sides and cooked through.
