Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (for glaze)
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar (for glaze)
  • 4 burger buns
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, cheese, pickles, onions

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Grill or Oven: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the Meat Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, egg, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well combined, but do not overmix as it can make the burgers tough.
  3. Form the Patties: Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 1/2 inch thick. Make a small indent in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.
  4. Cook the Burgers: If using a grill, cook the patties over medium-high heat for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). If baking in the oven, place the patties on a lined baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until fully cooked.
  5. Prepare the Glaze: While the burgers are cooking, mix the ketchup and brown sugar in a small bowl. Brush the glaze over the burgers during the last 2 minutes of cooking.
  6. Assemble the Burgers: Toast the burger buns if desired. Place each meatloaf patty on the bottom half of a bun, and add your favorite toppings. Top with the other half of the bun.
  7. Serve: Serve the Meat Loaf Burgers hot with your choice of sides and enjoy!

Feel free to adjust the seasoning and toppings to suit your taste!
