Lemon Iced Tea

Lemon iced tea is a refreshing and zesty beverage perfect for hot summer days or anytime you crave a light, citrusy drink. The tang of fresh lemons pairs beautifully with the boldness of black tea, while a touch of sweetness balances the flavors. This classic drink can be made ahead of time, allowing the tea to chill and develop its rich flavors. Serve it over ice with lemon slices for an extra burst of brightness. It’s an easy-to-make, versatile drink that can be customized to suit your sweetness preference.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups water
  • 4 black tea bags
  • 1/3 cup sugar (or to taste)
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
  • Lemon slices, for garnish
  • Ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. Boil Water: In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Brew the Tea: Remove from heat and add the black tea bags. Let steep for 5–7 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.
  3. Sweeten the Tea: Remove the tea bags and stir in the sugar until dissolved. Adjust the amount of sugar to taste.
  4. Add Lemon Juice: Stir in the fresh lemon juice. You can add more or less lemon juice based on your flavor preference.
  5. Cool the Tea: Let the tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1–2 hours until chilled.
  6. Serve: Pour the chilled tea into glasses filled with ice cubes. Garnish with lemon slices for an extra touch of lemon flavor.
