Glazed Salmon Burgers

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb fresh salmon, skin removed and finely chopped
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

Glaze:

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger

For serving:

  • Burger buns
  • Lettuce, avocado, or your favorite toppings

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the chopped salmon, breadcrumbs, egg, Dijon mustard, green onions, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix gently to combine.
  2. Form the mixture into 4 equal patties and set aside.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to make the glaze.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the salmon patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through.
  5. During the last minute of cooking, brush the glaze over the tops of the patties and allow it to caramelize slightly.
  6. Remove from heat and let the burgers rest for a minute before assembling.
