Crock Pot Baked Beans

Crock Pot Baked Beans are a flavorful and hearty side dish that’s perfect for cookouts, potlucks, or family dinners. Slow-cooked to perfection, these beans are infused with the sweet and savory flavors of molasses, brown sugar, and tangy mustard. Using the crock pot allows the beans to slowly absorb the rich sauce, resulting in tender, melt-in-your-mouth beans. Whether served alongside barbecue or as a comfort food staple, these baked beans are easy to prepare and a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups cooked navy beans (or 2 cans, drained and rinsed)
  • ½ cup bacon, diced (optional)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup molasses
  • ¼ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tbsp mustard (yellow or Dijon)
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. If using bacon, cook the diced bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp. Remove the bacon and drain on a paper towel, leaving about 1 tablespoon of the bacon fat in the skillet.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté the chopped onion in the bacon fat until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. In a crock pot, add the cooked beans, cooked bacon (if using), sautéed onion, ketchup, molasses, brown sugar, mustard, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and paprika. Stir well to combine.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours, stirring occasionally. The beans should be tender and the sauce thick and flavorful.
  6. Once done, give the beans a final stir and adjust seasoning if necessary.

Serve your Crock Pot Baked Beans warm, and enjoy this deliciously sweet and savory side dish with your favorite grilled meats or comfort foods!
