Crispy Roasted Chickpeas

Crispy Roasted Chickpeas are a simple and healthy snack that’s both crunchy and flavorful. Ingredients:

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp paprika (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp cumin (optional)
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Drain and rinse the chickpeas, then pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels. The drier they are, the crispier they’ll become.
  3. Spread the chickpeas on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat evenly.
  4. Sprinkle the chickpeas with salt, paprika, garlic powder, cumin, and black pepper. Toss again to distribute the seasonings.
  5. Roast the chickpeas for 30-40 minutes, shaking the pan halfway through to ensure even cooking. They should be golden brown and crispy when done.
  6. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly. They will continue to crisp up as they cool. Enjoy them warm or at room temperature!
