Chicken Pillows

Chicken Pillows are a delightful and comforting dish that combines tender chicken with a creamy, cheesy filling, all wrapped up in a soft, pillowy crescent roll. Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup crushed Ritz crackers or breadcrumbs

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream cheese, sour cream, cheddar cheese, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated and the mixture is creamy.
  3. Open the cans of crescent roll dough and separate the dough into individual triangles.
  4. Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture in the center of each triangle. Fold the corners of the dough over the filling to create a sealed pillow shape.
  5. Brush each pillow with melted butter and then roll in the crushed Ritz crackers or breadcrumbs to coat.
  6. Arrange the Chicken Pillows on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
