Chai Spiced Granola is a warm, fragrant twist on the classic granola, inspired by the comforting spices of chai tea. Infused with cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves, and nutmeg, this granola brings cozy, aromatic flavors to your breakfast bowl. Made with oats, nuts, and a touch of sweetness from maple syrup or honey, this granola is perfect for topping yogurt, adding crunch to smoothies, or enjoying as a snack on its own. It’s easy to make, filling your kitchen with the delicious scent of spices as it bakes, and can be stored for days of wholesome, spiced goodness.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (almonds, pecans, or walnuts)
  • ½ cup shredded coconut (optional)
  • ¼ cup maple syrup or honey
  • ¼ cup coconut oil or melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground cardamom
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp ground cloves
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt
  • ½ cup dried fruit (raisins, cranberries, or chopped dates, optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, chopped nuts, shredded coconut (if using), cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves, nutmeg, and salt. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Prepare the Wet Ingredients: In a small saucepan, heat the maple syrup or honey, coconut oil (or butter), and vanilla extract over low heat until melted and smooth. Remove from heat.
  4. Combine and Stir: Pour the wet ingredients over the oat mixture and stir until everything is evenly coated.
  5. Bake the Granola: Spread the granola mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden and fragrant. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning.
  6. Add Dried Fruit (Optional): If using dried fruit, stir it into the granola once it’s out of the oven and slightly cooled.
  7. Cool and Store: Let the granola cool completely before storing it in an airtight container. It will keep for up to 2 weeks.

Enjoy this crunchy, spiced Chai Granola with yogurt, milk, or simply as a tasty snack!
