Whether you grill, bake, or pan-sear the salmon, the result is a juicy, tender fillet with a crispy, seasoned crust that’s sure to become a favorite.

Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets, skin-on or skinless
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Lemon wedges, for serving
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Cajun Seasoning: In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt. This will be your Cajun seasoning blend.
  2. Season the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Brush both sides of each fillet with olive oil. Generously sprinkle the Cajun seasoning over the salmon, pressing it lightly onto the fish to ensure it adheres.
  3. Cook the Salmon:
    • Pan-Searing: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add a small amount of oil to the pan and place the salmon fillets in, skin-side down if using skin-on fillets. Cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until the salmon is cooked through and has a crispy crust.
    • Baking: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the seasoned salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through.
    • Grilling: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Oil the grill grates and place the salmon on the grill, skin-side down. Grill for about 4-5 minutes per side.
  4. Serve: Remove the salmon from the heat and let it rest for a few minutes. Serve with lemon wedges and a sprinkle of fresh parsley.

Enjoy your Cajun Salmon with a side of rice, roasted vegetables, or a crisp salad for a satisfying and delicious meal!
