BROILED PORK CHOPS

Broiled Pork Chops are a quick and flavorful option for a satisfying meal, offering a perfect balance of juicy, tender meat with a deliciously caramelized crust. This method of cooking ensures that the pork chops are cooked evenly and retain their natural juices while developing a slightly crispy, golden-brown exterior. With a simple marinade or seasoning, these pork chops are ready in minutes, making them ideal for busy weeknights or a casual weekend dinner. Serve them alongside your favorite sides like roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad for a well-rounded and delicious meal.

Ingredients:

  • 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops, about 1-inch thick
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the broiler: Preheat your oven’s broiler to high. Position the oven rack about 6 inches from the broiler element. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and lightly grease it.
  2. Prepare the marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, soy sauce, honey or brown sugar, minced garlic, smoked paprika, dried thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Marinate the pork chops: Place the pork chops on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the marinade generously over both sides of each pork chop, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate at room temperature for about 10-15 minutes while the broiler heats up.
  4. Broil the pork chops: Place the baking sheet under the broiler. Broil the pork chops for 5-6 minutes on the first side, then flip them over and broil for an additional 4-5 minutes on the second side. The pork chops should be golden brown and cooked to an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  5. Rest and serve: Remove the pork chops from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring the meat stays moist and tender.
  6. Garnish: Serve the Broiled Pork Chops with lemon wedges and a sprinkle of fresh parsley, if desired.

Broiled Pork Chops are a simple yet delicious dish that’s perfect for any occasion. With their juicy interior and caramelized exterior, they’re sure to become a favorite in your dinner rotation. Enjoy them with your favorite sides for a complete and satisfying meal!
