Balsamic Brussels Sprouts Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 pounds Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if using). Spread them in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Roast the Brussels sprouts for 20–25 minutes, or until they are tender and the edges are golden and crispy, stirring halfway through for even cooking.
  4. While the Brussels sprouts are roasting, in a small bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar and honey (or maple syrup).
  5. Remove the Brussels sprouts from the oven and drizzle them with the balsamic mixture. Toss to coat evenly.
  6. Return the Brussels sprouts to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to allow the balsamic glaze to slightly caramelize.
  7. Optional: sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving for added richness.

Serve these balsamic Brussels sprouts hot, and enjoy their sweet, tangy, and savory flavors as the perfect side dish to any meal!
