Baked Hamburgers

Baked Hamburgers are a simple yet delicious way to enjoy juicy, flavorful burgers without the need for grilling. These hamburgers are seasoned and shaped into patties, then baked in the oven for an easy and mess-free cooking method that ensures evenly cooked, tender patties every time. With minimal prep and cleanup, baking hamburgers allows you to focus on building the perfect burger with all your favorite toppings. Serve these tasty patties on toasted buns with classic toppings like lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and pickles for a satisfying meal that’s quick enough for weeknights but flavorful enough for any occasion.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef (80% lean)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Sliced cheese (optional)
  • Your favorite burger toppings (lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, etc.)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare the Burger Patties:
    • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce (if using). Gently mix the ingredients together, being careful not to overwork the meat.
  3. Form the Patties:
    • Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties about 1/2 inch thick. Press a small indentation into the center of each patty with your thumb to prevent them from puffing up while baking.
  4. Bake the Hamburgers:
    • Place the patties on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the burgers reaches 160°F (71°C) for medium doneness. If you prefer your burgers well-done, cook for a few minutes longer.
  5. Add Cheese (Optional):
    • If you’re making cheeseburgers, add a slice of cheese to each patty during the last 2-3 minutes of baking, allowing it to melt.
  6. Toast the Buns (Optional):
    • While the burgers are baking, toast the hamburger buns in the oven for a few minutes for added texture.
  7. Assemble the Burgers:
    • Once the burgers are done, remove them from the oven and let them rest for a minute. Place each patty on a toasted bun and add your favorite toppings.
  8. Serve:
    • Serve the baked hamburgers with your favorite sides, such as fries, chips, or a salad.

Baked Hamburgers are an easy and reliable way to enjoy juicy, flavorful burgers with minimal effort. Perfect for busy weeknights or casual gatherings, this method guarantees a great-tasting burger every time, with all the classic toppings you love.
