ASIAN CHICKEN LETTUCE WRAPS

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup water chestnuts, diced (optional for crunch)
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For Serving:

  • Lettuce leaves (butter lettuce, iceberg, or romaine work best)
  • Chopped peanuts (optional)
  • Fresh cilantro or mint (optional)
  • Lime wedges (optional)
  • Additional hoisin or soy sauce for drizzling

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Chicken:
    • Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
    • Add the ground chicken, breaking it up with a spatula, and cook until browned, about 5-6 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Add Garlic and Ginger:
    • Add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Make the Sauce:
