Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
  2. Make the crust: In a medium bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the almond extract. Press the dough evenly into the prepared pan and bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden.
