This beautiful cake is baked to golden perfection in a Bundt pan, creating a stunning centerpiece for any table. Perfect for fall gatherings, holiday celebrations, or simply as a treat with your morning coffee, this cake is as fragrant as it is delicious. A simple dusting of powdered sugar or a drizzle of glaze makes it even more irresistible.

Ingredients:

For the Cake:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
  • 3 cups peeled and diced apples (about 2 large apples)

For the Cinnamon Sugar Filling (Optional):

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

For the Glaze (Optional):

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat and Prepare the Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a Bundt pan or spray it with non-stick baking spray.
  2. Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Cream the Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the sour cream, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix just until combined.
  5. Add the Apples: Fold in the diced apples gently, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  6. Layer (If Using Filling): If using the cinnamon sugar filling, spoon half of the batter into the prepared pan, sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the batter, then top with the remaining batter.
  7. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool the cake in the pan for 15 minutes before inverting it onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Glaze the Cake (Optional): In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled cake.

This Apple Cinnamon Bundt Cake is a delightful blend of warm spices and juicy apples, creating a dessert that’s as cozy and inviting as your favorite fall sweater. Enjoy a slice with a cup of tea or coffee for the ultimate comfort treat!
