These Asian Turkey Burgers are a delicious twist on the classic burger, featuring ground turkey seasoned with bold Asian flavors like ginger, garlic, and soy sauce. Fresh herbs like cilantro and green onions add a burst of freshness, while a drizzle of hoisin or sriracha mayo brings the perfect sweet and spicy touch. These burgers are juicy, flavorful, and a great way to enjoy a healthy and tasty meal. Serve them on toasted buns with a crunchy slaw or lettuce for a satisfying burger with a unique flair.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
  • Burger buns, toasted
  • Sliced cucumber, for topping
  • Sriracha mayo or hoisin sauce, for drizzling

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Burger Mix: In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, cilantro, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Form the Patties: Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a patty, pressing slightly in the center to prevent puffing.
  3. Cook the Burgers: Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Place the patties in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F and the burgers are browned on the outside.
  4. Assemble the Burgers: Place each patty on a toasted bun. Top with cucumber slices and a drizzle of sriracha mayo or hoisin sauce.
  5. Serve: Serve warm with your favorite side salad, slaw, or Asian-inspired toppings.

Tip: Try adding a touch of miso paste or chili flakes to the patty mix for added depth. For a low-carb option, serve the burgers in lettuce wraps instead of buns.
