S’mores Bark

S’mores Bark is a quick and easy dessert that brings the nostalgic flavors of a classic campfire treat into a simple, no-bake form. This sweet, crunchy bark combines layers of smooth chocolate, graham cracker crumbs, and gooey marshmallows, mimicking the traditional s’mores experience in a fraction of the time. The combination of rich, melted chocolate with the crispy crunch of graham crackers and the chewy marshmallows makes for a deliciously indulgent treat that’s perfect for snacking, gifting, or even topping off a summer picnic. Best of all, it’s incredibly customizable—whether you prefer dark, milk, or white chocolate, or you want to add in a sprinkle of salt or some crushed nuts, S’mores Bark is the ultimate treat for satisfying your sweet tooth with minimal effort.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips (or dark chocolate, if preferred)
  • 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows (or regular-sized marshmallows, cut in half)
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips or chocolate chunks (optional, for extra texture)
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter (optional, for smoothing the chocolate)
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Pan:
    • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat to prevent sticking. Set aside.
  2. Melt the Milk Chocolate:
    • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the milk chocolate chips (or your preferred chocolate) in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth. Alternatively, you can melt the chocolate using a double boiler on the stovetop.
    • If you want extra smoothness, stir in 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter while melting the chocolate. This will help give the chocolate a glossy finish and make it easier to spread.
  3. Assemble the Bark:
    • Pour the melted milk chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading it out into an even layer with a spatula. It doesn’t need to be perfect—feel free to make it a bit rustic.
    • Immediately sprinkle the graham cracker crumbs evenly over the top of the melted chocolate. Gently press the crumbs into the chocolate so they stick.
  4. Add the White Chocolate:
    • Melt the white chocolate chips in the same way as the milk chocolate, in 30-second intervals in the microwave or using a double boiler.
    • Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the graham cracker crumbs and milk chocolate layer, swirling it gently with a spatula to create a marbled effect.
  5. Top with Marshmallows and Extra Chocolate:
    • Scatter the mini marshmallows evenly over the surface of the bark. If you like extra chocolatey bites, sprinkle some mini chocolate chips or chopped chocolate chunks on top as well.
    • For an added touch, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top for a delightful contrast to the sweetness, if desired.
  6. Chill and Set:
    • Place the baking sheet in the fridge for 1-2 hours, or until the chocolate has completely set and hardened.
  7. Break into Pieces:
    • Once the chocolate has firmed up, break the bark into irregular pieces by hand. This will give it the rustic, “bark” look.
  8. Serve and Enjoy:
    • Store the S’mores Bark in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or in the fridge for longer shelf life.
