Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin

This Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin is a delicious and easy dish that combines the bold, savory flavors of traditional teriyaki with tender and juicy pork. Marinated in a rich sauce made from soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and a touch of sweetness, the pork becomes deeply infused with flavor. Once marinated, the pork is quickly seared and then baked to perfection, resulting in a beautifully caramelized exterior and a succulent interior. Perfect for a weeknight dinner or a special gathering, this dish pairs wonderfully with steamed rice and stir-fried vegetables for a complete meal.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ lbs pork tenderloin
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (optional for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the pork: In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Place the pork tenderloin in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish, and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag or cover the dish, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.
  2. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  3. Sear the pork: Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the pork from the marinade, allowing any excess marinade to drip off, and reserve the marinade. Sear the pork in the skillet for about 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.
  4. Bake the pork: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake the pork tenderloin for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Remove from the oven and let the pork rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  5. Make the sauce: While the pork is baking, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan and bring it to a simmer over medium heat. Mix the cornstarch and water to form a slurry, then add it to the marinade. Stir constantly until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Serve: Slice the pork tenderloin and drizzle with the teriyaki sauce. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, if desired. Serve with rice and vegetables.

Enjoy your flavorful Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin!
