Barbecue and Beer Meatballs

Barbecue and Beer Meatballs are the ultimate crowd-pleaser, perfect for game day or any casual gathering. These savory meatballs are simmered in a rich barbecue and beer sauce that enhances their flavor with a deep, tangy sweetness and a touch of malty goodness from the beer. The sauce thickens as it cooks, coating each meatball in a sticky, irresistible glaze. These meatballs are easy to make and can be served as an appetizer or over mashed potatoes or rice for a hearty meal.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup beer (lager or your choice)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until browned and cooked through.
  4. While the meatballs are baking, prepare the sauce. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the barbecue sauce, beer, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir until the sauce is smooth and simmer for 5-7 minutes to thicken slightly.
  5. Once the meatballs are done, transfer them to the saucepan and stir to coat them evenly in the sauce. Let them simmer in the sauce for another 5 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  6. Serve the meatballs hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Enjoy these flavorful Barbecue and Beer Meatballs for a delicious appetizer or a fun main course!
